Martin Luther King Jr.

The second week back after the break, we celebrated and learned all about Martin Luther King Jr.

For interactive writing, we wrote one of the most famous parts of his speech. 

This year, I also tried a new experiment that I absolutely loved! We looked at 2 eggs. One brown and one white. We talked before hand if we thought they were different and what the insides of the eggs were like. Then we cracked them open to realize that they are both exactly the same on the inside, even though they look different of the outside! This really seemed to help the kids understand the whole matter much better! 

We also learned about many other historical African Americans. At the end of the week, we graphed who are favorite person was.
